Turkoman rugs are unique for their repeating motifs called “Guls,” meaning “flowers” in Persian, typically set against a rich red background. The design is framed by decorative borders and detailed end patterns, known as skirts.

These rugs feature a hand-knotted wool pile on a sturdy wool foundation, with wool fringes. Often, a traditional flat-weave band, known as a Kilim, is included between the pile and fringes. A Turkoman rug is a timeless piece that adds warmth and character to any space.
